Well, D is now employed! He starts next Monday. One minute I'm excited, the next nervous. We will be moving from where we have lived for 14 years. That is the longest either one of us have lived in one place. We told our kids Saturday night. The two oldest were fine with it, which I thought they would be. Our youngest, well lets just say I think we put her in therapy for another 15 years! She was not happy. She grew up here, and she is very sentimental. Saves everything, and I mean everything! She doesn't want to leave our house. She helped put the fence up, helped her Dad put the french doors up inside. Anyway, by the time she left last night, she was doing better. The good thing is, it won't be for about 6 months or so, so she has time to adjust to the idea.
But on the good side, D is very happy. He really likes the owner of the company, and that is who he will be reporting to. No one in between them. Here in his job, it was just him, trying to start up an office for the company he worked for. He had no help, no secretarial help, and he is not a typist at all. He hunt and pecks. They expected him to market, do proposals, and put them together by himself. They wouldn't even buy a copy machine for the office. He made many trips to Kinkos. So this will be a big change for him. A good one.
I want to thank all of you that have been sending me good wishes, hugs, and prayers. It has helped so much having you to vent to. I really appreciate you guys!

The snow is melting!!
Good morning everyone! The snow is starting to melt, and the temperature is going up. I am so excited. No more slipping and sliding , getting my jeans wet, ruining my shoes. Life is good!
D has an interview tomorrow. It sounds really promising. The guy who called him, called on Saturday! He is really interested in him, already talking money! The bad thing is, it's 2 hours away. But if the job is right, we'll deal with it. It is so good to see D excited about something. He has been so sick, and still doesn't know what's the cause of his red blood cell count dropping. He had another test yesterday, but we don't know the results of it yet. The other tests have been fine. Hopefully this last one will too, and they will just give him iron pills and all will be fixed.
Our youngest saw the sleep doctor Friday. She said he was really nice, but there is not a magic pill to help her. He is having her stop taking the sleeping pills, and he increased the medicine she takes for restless leg syndrome. He told her to take it every night, not just occasionally. He also told her no lights, no music, to TV with the sound off. That is very difficult for her. But I told her she had to do it. The doctor is a specialist in sleep problems, so I'm sure he knows a lot more than she does. She goes back to see him in 2 months, so I've told her to do what he said, and if it hasn't helped in 2 months, see what he has to say. She doesn't have al ot of patients when it comes to doctors not giving her the answer she wants to hear. I guess a lot of us are like that. But most of the time they are right.
You know the saying when it rains, it pours? Our garage door broke yesterday. The opener is 10 years old, so we have to replace it. I guess there could be worse things than that.
Do any of you watch Grey's Anatomy? What do you think about Meredith? Will she survive? I hope so, I don't think I can take another day of McDreamie crying. He loves her so much. I love that show!!
Well, that's all I have for now. Please say a prayer, and keep your fingers crossed for D tomorrow. I'll let you know what happens!

Man, do we have snow!
Happy Valentines day all!
We got bombarded by snow, around 12-13 inches. We're used to some snow, but not this much. Of course, heaven forbid work is canceled. Today was horrible getting here, thank goodness we have a 4 wheel drive truck. I drove my little car home in this mess, and almost didn't make it. The snow drifts are terrible, some of them close to 4 feet. The sun is out today, so at least it's not snowing. Really cold temps. are coming though, that is almost as bad as the snow. There are a bunch of people that couldn't make it in, including our boss! I thought the least he could do is cancel work for all of us, but no way. Oh well, that's the way it goes I guess.
Still no luck with the job for D, but he is starting to feel better. The test he had last Thursday showed nothing bad, and he goes back for another test to see if there is any bleeding in his stomach. I don't know what will be next if they find nothing wrong there, hopefully just iron pills to raise his red blood cells.
Our basement is water free, and all dried out. The dumpster is still in our driveway, D called them yesterday to remind them to come and get it. We really need the parking space, especially with the snow. They said they thought it had been picked up, but unless we are imagining a big red dumpster taking up half of our driveway, it's still there.
Our youngest daughter goes to see the sleep specialist to see if they can figure out why she can't sleep through the night. Hopefully they will be able to come up with an answer.
Not much else happening here in the snow bank, so I guess I am finished for now. Take care all!
Thanks for reading.

I'm still around
Sorry I haven't posted for a while. So much has been going on, I just haven't been in the mood to talk about it. Still no job for D. But right now, I think that is a good thing, for now. Last week, I had to drive him to the doctor. He is a diabetic, and his blood sugar dropped to 50, his normal range is 110-120. No matter what he ate or drank, we couldn't get it any higher than 64. For a few minutes, he lost his vision. I wasn't home from work yet, and our dog Alix knew something was wrong and went over to the computer where he was sitting and put her paw on his leg, making sure he was ok. I know, how sweet! Anyway, the doctor did blood work, and he got the same range that D had. He took him off one of his medicines, and told him they would call with the results of the other tests. Since he's been off of the one pill, he is doing much better. Still tired, and kind of pale. The doctor's office called yesterday, and his red blood cell count is very low. The doctor is concerned that he may be bleeding internally. So I take him Thursday for some more tests to see if they can find anything. This scares me so bad. It's like one things after another. He has lost 48 lbs. now, and he looks much better. Now if he could just feel better. On top of that, our basement flooded over the weekend. Out sump pump went bad. So we had the insurance company out, they sent a crew out to dry things up and they brought a huge dumpster out for all the things that were wet. Luckily, I don't think we lost anything important. Lots of boxes from where we had moved in, old carpeting, padding, the kids old board games. But nothing valuable. So that was good, got the junk carried out of the basement, and D. didn't have to do any work. Just instructed the workers what to carry out to the dumpster. They left a bunch of dryers in the basement to dry the walls out. They will be back in a few days to replace the insulation they had to cut out, and it will be ok.
I know things could always be worse, but I am getting so tired of this. I need my husband back healthy, and then working!
It is freezing here. When I left for work, it was 4 degrees, and we're supposed to get 5-6 inches of snow. I drove the big truck to work today, so I'm not worried. But we're all really tired of this cold. We were so spoiled by the mild weather in January.
Hope you all are keeping warm, and doing well.
