Update

Hi everyone. I thought I would update those who check this out on what has been going on. After tons of blood tests, a bone marrow biopsy, CT scans, the wonderful doctor taking care of D has found that his kidneys are not producing the chemical that tells the bone marrow to make red blood cells. That is the cause of his extreme fatigue, loss of appetite, and very pale color. She had him come to the hospital and get a transfusion. That took about 6 hours, but was so worth it. He immediately felt better, and was even able to walk to the other end of the parking lot to get into the truck. This past weekend, they did more blood work, and starting him on a new medicine that is supposed to replace the chemical his kidney is not producing. So far, he is doing well, except he has nausea every morning. He should be talking to the doctor tonight, and he will ask her about that. This doctor is amazing. D is working in South Bend now, and she has him call her in the evenings, and she tells him what she has found out, and what the next step is. Our family doctor also has been great, he even called us at home to see how he was doing. My daughter had an appointment with him yesterday, and he told her he had received some of his results from the hematologist. I can't imagine doctors anywhere that have been more caring than these.
Last Thursday I was getting ready to leave for work, and it was pouring rain. For some reason I decided I had better check our basement since we had the problem with the sump pump earlier last month. When I opened the door and look at the bottom of the stairs, there was a little nerf ball floating by the steps! Yup, we had about 4 inches of water. I called the plumbers that had put the pump in last month, and they came right over. Long story short, it was a faulty valve in the pump, and they are paying to have the basement cleaned up! They even replaced our hot water tank because water had gotten in it. They were so nice to me, which was great since I was dealing with this by my self. D always handles this kind of stuff, so this was new territory for me. So I got to use a vacation day and stay home and play with my dogs while the guys worked on my basement. The dogs loved it, everyone who came in stopped and talked to them and petted them, so they thought it was the greatest day.
I am so ready to get the move going. It's only been two weeks, and I hate living like this, D up there and me here. Hopefully we can get to working on our house, get it on the market and get 'er done!
Thanks for stopping by and listening.

Thanks

Thank you guys so much for all of your support and all of the hugs. Now, we have a new hurdle to overcome. D had to go to the doctor again Monday, bronchitis again. That is 3 times since Christmas. The doctor did more blood tests, and they called him this morning. His red blood cell count has dropped again. Our doctor called a hematologist and they worked him in this afternoon. This doctor is very busy, and hard to get in with. So that is good, but it also scares me as this could be very serious. He has had several tests in the past weeks to see if he was bleeding anywhere, and so far they have all been negative. I am taking off work at noon to go with him. So please, any prayers are greatly appreciated and needed. I will post again when we find anything out. Thank you all my dear friends.
